Following on from the 2019 debut EP Crisis, North-Londoner Joviale returns with new single 'Blow!', a track with equal amounts of circus curiosity and club sensibility. Much more sonically extroverted than her previous guitar-centred tracks, a clackerty drum track and brass give a circus feel to 'Blow!'. In the chorus, saxophone embellishments create sonic elevation, whilst Joviale's syrupy vocals pour a poppy melody. In May, Joviale will release their EP titled Hurricane Belle, inspired by Peter Shenai’s “Hurricane Bells” experiment, in which he cast brass bells modelled on the five stages of Hurricane Katrina, “indicating the growing power of the storm as it built through time”. For now, feast your ears upon 'Blow!'. -Ellie Rose-Davies
